Hyde Jr. was arraigned in the Belmopan Magistrate Court on charges of ‘aggravated assault with a firearm’ and ‘wounding’.
Police spoke to Gonzalez on Sunday evening while receiving treatment for a gunshot graze to his chest at the Western Regional Hospital. Gonzales told police he went to the farm, located on the Young Bank road, and was socializing with Hyde and another person.
Gonzalez said he got involved in an argument with the person who accompanied Hyde but Hyde later got involved and the situation escalated. Hyde then allegedly pulled out a firearm, held him down and threatened to shoot him which he eventually did.
While the bullet only grazed Gonzales to his chest, after being shot, he ran and fell down a steep slope resulting in several cuts and bruises to his body.
