ALLEGED GAS STATION ROBBERS INTERCEPTED IN GET AWAY VEHICLE

In less than two weeks Puma Coral Grove Gas Station located on the Phillip Goldson Highway came under attack by robbers, but this time police quick response led to the apprehension of the men who are suspected to be the culprits.

Although Lijahman Young 25 and Ryan Rhaburn 21 have not been formally charged with the robbery they were busted in the suspected get-away vehicle and in possession of a 9mm pistol along with an extended magazine containing 30 mm live rounds of ammunition.

The two Belize City residents were, therefore charged with kept firearm without a gun license, kept ammunition without a gun license and kept prohibited material.

Police say that a little after 12:27 p.m. on August 10th, police mobile patrols quickly responded to a report of an armed robbery at the gas station and intersepted a grey Dodge Caliber car at the junction of Lake I Boulevard and the George Price Highway which was occupied by both men.

Police reports states that the pump attendant at the gas station told police that while he was working around 12:27 p.m. on August 8th he was approached by two male person one of them armed with a firearm who robbed him of an undisclosed amount of cash and cheques.

The assailant then proceeded to rob another pump attendant of $400, before escaping in a get-away vehicle
