Kaya Cattouse, the 2019 Krem New Year’s Day Cycling Classic female champion, avoided serious injury in a nasty spill during the Weekend Warriors’ cycling race on Sunday.

Cattouse was not a part of the group that crashed into each other and got hurt, but she did suffer a broken little finger and several other bruised ones when another cyclist’s bike slammed into the handlebar for her bike and mashed up her fingers.

Cattouse’s mother, Karen Vernon informed us today that Cattouse will be off the bike for about a month while her fingers heal, but that she is alright otherwise.
