Today Police formally arrested and charged Bullet Tree Falls housewife Thelma Warrior, 50, for the murder of Yolanda Elvira Requeña, during what is speculated to have been a fight over another man, Warrior’s husband.

Requeña. 49 a well-known janitor who worked at the San Ignacio Magistrate’s Court, was stabbed once to the left side of her chest sometime before 7:45 p.m., on Sunday, reportedly by Warrior who came home and found Requeña talking with her husband.

Family sources confirmed reports that Requeña and the man had been exchanging text messages for some time. One family member noted that sometime that Sunday evening the man texted Requeña and asked her to bring him a plate of food at his farmhouse.

The family member told the media that Requeña left enroute to the man’s home that evening but never returned. They further claimed that they later learned that Requeña had been stabbed sometime before 7:00 p.m. but that authorities were not informed of the incident until closer to 8:00 p.m.

By the time Police were notified of the incident and transported Requeña to the San Ignacio Community Hospital for treatment she was officially pronounced dead on arrival. The family, therefore, suspects that their mother was lured to the location where she was tragically murdered and left to die. The family is calling on the relevant authorities to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the incident.

Warrior is expected back in court on August 27.
