Police are currently investigating three incidents which they believe are related – the attempted landing of a drug plane early Friday morning on the Progresso Road, a shootout between Police and persons in a pickup and also a report that two farmers were detained and tied up in the same area where the plane was allegedly attempting to land.

Mexican media has reported that the plane aborted its landing in Belize and instead landed at the Chetumal International Airport where an alleged ton and a half of cocaine was seized by authorities.
